Nothing makes us happier than when we find something to bring to you that is both beautiful and useful. Our new Casa Cubista ceramics, made in Olhão, a village in the rural center of Portugal, are a lively addition to our already varied and deeply loved ceramic offerings. We are so honored to host them here in Maine.
Every single piece of this hearty terracotta pottery is made by two brothers, Rui and Egidio. Each piece is wheel-thrown and then dries in the hot sun before being dipped and hand-painted by Rui and Egidio's aunt. Then the pieces are dipped again and fired.
Our collection of terracotta Casa Cubista pottery made the long journey from Portugal here to Maine, and just seems to hum with an exuberant vibration ... ready to house your beloved family recipes and join in on your gatherings with friends!
